Auslogics Disk Defrag is a program to defragment and enhance the performance of your hard drive.
Keeping the hard drive neat is always good to enhance the performance of your PC. By neat I don’t mean it being properly saved inside a box, I man that the data stored in the hard drive is defragmented.
When information is stored in our hard drive it is not done so in an orderly fashion, because the information is copied where it has space. Imagine you’re copying a 40Mb file. This file won’t be copied (by general rule) whole, maybe 10 Mb will go somewhere in the hard drive, 15Mb will go to another place in the hard drive, etc. Afterwards, when we wish to access this file, the hard drive will have to read it and go to all the zones where it was copied. Taking more time than it would if the file was all together.
