Eraser

Eraser is a program that eliminates in a safe and definitive way the data of our hard disk.

The first thought we have when a file is eliminated is that the data is erased. Actually, when a file is erased, the operating system really does not eliminate the file of the disc; it only eliminates the reference of the file from the table of the file system. The file remains in the disc until another file is created upon it, and even after that, it is possible to recover the data studying the magnetic fields in the surface of the disc.

With Eraser it is possible to erase in a safe and easy way the private data of the hard disk units.
