WirelessMon is a tool that allows to monitor the status of the adapter of a wireless net, and to gather information in real time about the access points and hot nearer spots.
Besides showing a complete graph that shows the level of the sign, the up dated statistics of the standard 802.11 of wireless communication, and the IP address in real time, WirelessMon also offers the option of saving the information obtained in a registration file.
WirelessMon carries out the following actions:
WirelessMon is compatible with any wireless adapter of the NDIS_802.11 type, and it can be installed in Windows XP, 2003 and Vista.
If the net adapter allows the following characteristic, WirelessMon will show the following information of the local wireless net: the current connection, the MAC address of the connected access points, the power of the sign, the transmission power, authentication type, threshold of fragmentation, channel in use, frequency that is using, quantity of antennas and more.
WirelessMon also gathers statistical information, including a detailed analysis of the sent packages and received, quantity of errors, transmission retries, etc.. It also includes information about the TCP/IP connection in use.
