Instructions

1. Process Explorer does not need to be installed in the system. Simply, it is necessary to download the compressed file that contains the executable, and to decompress it in a folder:

1. In this example, the compressed file has been download in the desk of Windows. In order to decompress it click with the left button of the Mouse once in the icon and then select Extract to ProcessExplorer.

This option will create a folder with the name of ProcessExplorer in the desktop

2. To be able to run the application quickly and not to have to look for it between the folders, a practical option is to create a direct access to the EXE file in the Start.

To make this, you will need to open the recent created folder, select the procexp.exe file, and click with the principal button of the mouse on it.

In the contextual menu, select the option Anchor to the start menu.

This will make that once you press the Start button you would be able to accede directly to the application.

2. If you have followed the previous steps to decompress Process Explorer and to Anchor to the Start menu, then open the Start procexp.exe application.

3. The principal application’s window will be opened and this will show the list of processes in execution grouped according to its type.

4. In order to replace the Windows Task Manager for this window, press Options in the main menu and choose Replace Task Manager.

You will not see any warning, nothing will change at simple view…But when you press at the same time the CTRL ALT SUPR keys you will notice the difference.

5. If you regret and you want to recover the Task Manager then the procedure is very simple:

Press in Options in the main menu and select Restore Task Manager

This option will be able only if you had replaced the Manager for the Process Explorer.

Easy, is not it? For sure you will not need to execute this last point, because Process Explorer counts with a lot of benefit that would be very useful for different situations.
