1. Press the main button of the mouse on the icon of the program. The main window of NOD32 will be opened, from where you will be able to accede to the configuration for all the different modules of the antivirus.

• Local Discs: When pressing this option, NOD32 begins automatically to analyze all hard disks of the local computer.
• Deep Analysis: NOD32 automatically verifies all hard disks of the computer, being based on the parameters previously defined for this type of analysis.
• NOD32 Scanner: When selecting this option, the configuration window will be open to define the parameters related to the analysis. There we must specify the discs that we want to verify, the folders that we prefer to include or not in the analysis, etc.
• Diskettes: NOD32 will analyze the movable disc that is at the moment in the disc compartment.

1. Press the NOD32 Scanner option, to open the window that will allow you to define the objects to analyze, the different actions that will have to take the antivirus if some virus is detected, and a few other interesting parameters.
2. Once in the Objects tab, you will need to configure the discs, folders or files that you want to analyze.

In the Discs section, double press the main button of mouse on the element that you want to select. Only the ones that have the verification mark will be analyze.

In the Folders and Archives section, press the button Add in order to add the specific folders or files. You can also remove elements of the list by selecting them and them pressing the Eliminate button.

6. In the Actions tab, select the options that will define the action to take for each analyzed object.

7. The Configuration tab allows you to specify in detail the objects to verify, the options of the system of early alert ThreatSense, the events that will keep in the registry, etc.

There is an ample variety of parameters, and you will find more information on each one of them getting in the Help window that is opened when pressing F1.

8. The Profiles tab allows you to keep customized configurations for different types from analysis.

There also exist predefined profiles that are those that will be applied automatically for default for each type of selected verification, if you do not specify another profile in the selector.

9. Once you have defined the parameters according to your needs, then you will need to press the Analyse or Analyse and Disinfect button so that NOD32 begins to verify the system.

10. If you want to stop analysis, then press the Pause button. If you want to cancel the verification, press the Exit button. It will appear a warning window asking for a confirmation of the decision.
